Going to take advantage of the downtime I have while at Anna's dance class to post. Please forgive any typos or weird stuff while I'm on my phone.
Lots of things happening around here. One biggie is that we signed the paperwork to list our house! We're actually not going to start showing it for another week to 10 days bc we have some minor things to touch up and Joshua's 1st birthday party this Saturday. But it's a HUGE step for us and I alternate between anxiety and excitement. Hopefully the house sells but not too quickly. Luckily our local real estate market is still pretty robust but ugh...selling a house around the holidays may not have been the smartest idea. Well, we'll see.
Getting all geared up for J's birthday party. Honesty I had nether the capacity nor energy to do all those little special touches to make the party really personalized. So he'll just have the stock restaurant center pieces and decorations and I'm ok with that. I am happy that I booked an awesome entertainer. Really looking forward to that.
Work is work. Still slowly chugging along. Honestly I feel like I am just coasting by. Well, actually I am. Some days that bugs me but honestly most days I actually like having a job that lets me work from home 3 days a week and is low pressure/stress. But yeah, super career woman, I am not. Does it make me a loser to admit that I don't care that much? Maybe...
Peter's mom is hanging in there. Sadly, she was just approved for hospice care not that long ago by Medicare. That means she gets a home healthcare aide twice a week. Hopefully that will help with keeping her comfortable. She recently had a catheter put in her stomach to help drain the fluid. Last time she went to her doctor there was such a blockage they drained 6 liters of fluid from her stomach. 6 liters!!! Hopefully she will stay as comfortable as possible. For all the issues we've had in the past, I am really trying to make the most of our time together and it's actually been really nice. Recently, she showed me how to make some of her specialty dishes and that was a memory I will always cherish.
Ugh I've been all over the place lately, haven't I? Sorry to end on a downer of a post...but really life has been very full with so many momentous events I feel like I can barely keep up.
